Terms of Use
Last updated 13 September 2026
The 27 is a private, invite-only site for a brotherhood of men training and praying together. It is run by The 27 for that brotherhood and for nobody else. These terms say plainly what is expected of you here and what you can expect in return.
Who may use it
Membership is by invitation. Accounts are created by an administrator and handed to you directly; there is no public sign-up. You must be 18 or older. Your account is yours alone. Do not share your password or let anyone else use it, because everything done with your account is attributed to you, including to the men who can see your training.
What is expected of you
Behave the way you would in a room with these men. Specifically, do not:
- Post anything unlawful, harassing, obscene, or intended to humiliate another member.
- Share what is said in prayer requests, direct messages or group chats outside this site.
- Use another man's account, or try to reach data you have not been given.
- Upload anything you do not have the right to share.
- Use the site to sell, recruit or advertise.
An administrator may suspend or remove an account for any of the above. There is no formal appeal; this is a brotherhood, not a platform, and the expectation is that a disagreement is settled by talking.
Your data and who sees it
What you log here is yours. How it is handled, and the specific cases where another member or an outside company sees it, are set out in the privacy policy. Two points belong here too, because they are choices you make rather than things done to you:
- Accountability partners see everything. Accepting a partner opens your training, nutrition, body measurements and goals to him, and his to you. It is all or nothing, and either of you can end it at any time. The who can see my data page always shows the current list.
- Connecting an AI assistant sends your data to that company. If you connect Claude or ChatGPT, the data those tools read leaves this site and goes to Anthropic or OpenAI under their terms, not these. A partner's assistant never sees your data, only his own.
This is not medical advice
The 27 records what you tell it and does arithmetic on it. Calorie targets, benchmark standards, training suggestions and anything an AI assistant says about your numbers are informational. None of it is medical advice, none of it comes from a clinician, and none of it should be used to diagnose or treat anything. Talk to a doctor before changing how you train or eat, particularly if you have a medical condition.
Sleep, heart rate, body composition and temperature readings come from consumer devices. They are not medical instruments and they are sometimes wrong.
What this site promises
Honestly: not much, and it is better to say so. The 27 is run on a single small server by one man, free of charge, for a group of friends. It is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. It may be unavailable, it may lose data, and it may change or close. Keep your own copy of anything you would be sorry to lose.
To the fullest extent the law allows, The 27 is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Leaving
Ask an administrator to delete your account and it will be deleted, along with the data attached to it. Messages you sent to other men remain in their conversations, in the same way a letter you posted stays with whoever received it.
Changes
These terms may change as the site does. The date at the top is when they last did. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
